It’s beginning to look a lot like a Christmas in kindergarten.   Every year we decorate our tree with the children.  We decorate with ball ornaments, red ribbons and real candy canes too!  The students always become so excited as they know Santa will be coming soon!  ~ Starr ♡

Hello all!  Kindergarten has a different topic that we learn about each month.   In November, we learned about Thanksgiving as well, but our theme was DINOSAURS!   We did many activities centered around this including taking a field trip to the museum to see real life dinosaur bones.  The students always love this theme and we never run out of new things to learn!   We found out how big a T-Rex’s footprint was.  We could even fit all of our shoes inside of just one of his footprints!  This really helped us to understand just how big he really was.  Another fun activity we did was melting capsules to reveal a sponge dinosaur that the children could keep.  It was a lot of fun to discover which dinosaur each student would get.  Stay tuned for more fun with kindergarten! ~ Starr♡

Hello everyone!  I hope you’re all having a nice December so far.  Here at kindergarten, we are enjoying Christmas learning activities!  The K1 class has been learning about positional words from their teacher, Andy.  These kinds of words can be difficult for early learners.  They had a lot of fun putting Mr. Gingerbread Man in different places.   He was busy being on, in, under and next to the basket.  Great job, K1!  ~ Starr ♡

12月になりすっかり寒くなってきましたが、

子供達は元気いっぱい、季節の変化を感じながら

お外遊びを楽しんできました🎵

公園内では決まった遊びはないので

子供達は決められたルールの中で

自由に遊びます☺

落ち葉拾いをして、

「Oh! It's red!」「It's yellow!」と

葉っぱを見て季節の変化に気付く子供達も…😊

Every year at kindergarten, we celebrate the American holiday, Thanksgiving.   During the month we talk about the origin and meaning of this day.   We think about what we are thankful for and we cook an authentic Thanksgiving dinner for our families to show them our gratitude.  It’s such a nice time of fellowship and we look forward to it every year.   Thank you to all of our parents!
