Victoria International’s Kindergarten Program

Kindergarten is a big step in your child’s life. The years spent in kindergarten are the foundation for their future. We take great care in helping each child reach their full potential with our school’s unique approach to teaching. Please read the letter below from our English Manager about this program.

Letter from Our English Manager:

Our kindergarten follows an American curriculum, with all learning materials and activities in line with the standards for American schools. Our lessons are not made easier just because our students aren’t native English speakers. With our learning methods, we have found students to excel quickly and naturally learn English in our “English Only” environment. Upon graduating, our students are reading, writing and spelling. As many of our students join international schools for elementary, we do our best to make sure that when they graduate from our school they will be fully prepared for their next step.

At Victoria International, we cover a variety of areas of learning and special activities including: Reading/Writing/Phonics, Mathematics, Monthly themes, Motor Skills, Music Lesson, Cooking, Arts and Crafts, Gym class, Movement (yoga and dance), Science and Social Studies. Our objective is to also aid in the mental and physical developments of our students. We feel it is important to instruct proper behavioral and social skills. Our teachers and staff provide this through a loving and nurturing environment so that all children can feel safe and secure whilst in our care.

We make it a priority to work closely with parents about their child’s progress in our program. We send home classwork weekly along with a monthly newsletter to inform parents of what is going on at school. We have an open house where parents can come and observe the lessons. We send out report cards 3times a year and conduct parent-teacher conferences. We feel that it is a team effort and with parent cooperation, we can give each child their best education.
