Last week we wrapped up our Ancient Egypt study.  During the month we were doing a special experiment where we mummified an apple.  We started off with two apples, one we did nothing to and the other one we applied a salt and baking soda mixture.  In Ancient Egypt, they used a similar salt mixture as well.  Every week we changed the salt and by the end of the 4 weeks we had a mummified apple!  Everyone was so excited at what we could see.
